Supply List

Bring what you have if you already have supplies

Black Gesso and Clear Gesso -  Walmart has this set -
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Finnabair-Art-Basics-Mixed-Media-Essentials-2-oz-3pk-Clear-
White-and-Black-Gesso/52202905  Or you can buy a jar of each.  There are a variety of
brands that can be found online at Amazon, Dick Blick, Cheap Joe’s, Jerry’s or at Walmart .

Acrylic paint - You need a red, yellow, blue, black and white at a minimum.
Walmart has a Daler Rowney Acrylic set of 12 paint tubes for $7.97.

The two brands and colors I use most often in my own work: 1. Golden Fluid
Acrylics - Colors: Titanium White, Bone Black or Carbon Black, Cerulean Blue
Deep, Ultramarine Blue, Hansa Yellow Light, Diarylide Yellow, Naphthol Red
Light, Quinacridone Magenta OR 2. DaVinci Fluid Acrylics - Colors: Titanium
White, Carbon Black, Phthalo Blue, Ultramarine, Hansa Yellow Light, Hansa
Yellow Medium, Naphthol Red Light, Rose Madder Quinacridone.

For those starting from nothing I list 2 brands above. To cut down on cost you can get the 1 oz.
bottles (stores sell different sizes, so check around) and/or get less colors than listed - get white,
black, Cerulean Blue Deep, Hansa Yellow Light, and Naphthol Red Light, these would make a
decent minimal palette of colors.

Brushes -  You need 3 brushes that vary in size at a minimum.

Canvas panels x 2, size 11 x 14.   Walmart has sets of 3 Canvas Panels for
$3.97.  You can use many things for your surface - stretched canvas, masonite,
foam core, wood panels, watercolor paper, etc.  Some surfaces will need to be
prepped so email me if you choose an unusual surface.

Palette - you can use thick paper plates or an old tray or a palette.

Optional - Bring a table easel or floor easel if you prefer to work upright.  Each
student will have a table space and chair for working.

Misc. - An old hand towel, paper towels, water container to clean brushes,
tape, scissors, pencil, eraser, a fine mist spray bottle

** Acrylic will stain clothes so either wear old clothes or an apron or smock
