Supply List

Watercolor and white gouache class supplies

Watercolor Paint
You will need 6 colors based on a warm and cool mixing palette: a warm and cool yellow, a warm and cool red, a green
blue and a purple blue.  If you have watercolor paints, bring what you already have.

Daniel Smith is my personal favorite brand, but other brands are fine.  This is my main palette of 6 colors - Permanent
Yellow Deep, Aureolin (aka Cobalt Yellow), Pyrrol Scarlet, Quinacridone Rose, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue Green
Shade.  Extras that I call my guilty pleasure colors (and that you do not need) - Rich Green Gold, Indanthrone Blue.

For less expensive paint you can use a student brand such as Cotman (it will have less pigmented color but it works) -
Raw Sienna, Cadmium Yellow Pale Hue, Cadmium Red Hue, Permanent Rose, Ultramarine Blue, Intense Blue.

Gouache Paint -
Get one small tube of white gouache.  I use Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache, permanent white or M. Graham
Artist’s Gouache titanium white.  https://www.dickblick.com/categories/artistgouache/

Paper
You will need one sheet of artist quality watercolor paper, quartered.  The paper I use is 300 lb.cold press in individual
sheets. I mostly use these brands - Stonehenge Aqua, Arches, Kilimanjaro.  I will sell watercolor paper at my cost ($3.00
per quarter sheet which is size 11 x 15 each sheet).

Brushes
You will need watercolor brushes, several sizes (small, medium, and large). I mostly use Loew Cornell Ultra Round
watercolor brushes size 2, 6 or 8 and 14 (see link). If you have brushes, bring what you already have.

Extras
You will need a watercolor palette for tube watercolors which can as simple as some thick paper plates or Walmart has a
plastic folding travel palette that I use for classes, it’s inexpensive.
You will also need a pencil, eraser, graphite paper (I do have some older sheets for student use), masking tape, paper
towels, an old hand towel, a container for water.
